Success: Daily Habits for Breakthroughs in Life & Business

 Daily Habits of Successful People

1. Just Start and Don't Be Afraid of Mistakes

Sometimes people don't start success because they are afraid of mistakes. You shouldn't be afraid of success them, you just need to learn from them. "Mistakes happen only to those who take action.

When Thomas Edison's laboratory burned down, all his work, success all the results of his life's research, and the records of his work were destroyed. His son, worried that success his father would not survive it, ran to look for him and saw Thomas Edison watching the fire from a safe distance, calm and collected. And when his wife came up, he said: "Look, in all our lives we have never seen anything like this. A catastrophe is very useful: all our mistakes have burned up! Thank God, we can start over. Start all over again!"

Start with something. Even a small step. Once you achieve success in something small, you gain confidence that you can take the next step, and you will be motivated.

Mother Teresa said, "If you can't feed 100 people, feed one." There will be no perfect time to start, start now. To learn to swim, you have to get into the water; you can't learn to swim standing on the shore.

2. Take Responsibility and Remove Excuses

Winners always take responsibility for everything, and losers blame others. Tell yourself: "I will do and will not look for excuses." The quality of life depends on your choices, not on circumstances.

I always tell myself, "The weak complain, but the strong take responsibility. "I am resilient, and I will succeed!" Don't let circumstances become your excuses. Some people say, "I'm too old or too young to start," but age doesn't matter at all.

There are many people in history who started their own business at an older age and achieved success. For example, Ray Kroc founded McDonald's at the age of 52.

There are also many stories about young people. For example, Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook at the age of 20. At the same time, young people say that they are not experienced enough yet. Just think, do you really want to take responsibility and start doing something, or will you continue to console yourself with excuses?

When I started my business, I often met people who refused to move because they were waiting for the perfect moment. In reality, this is another excuse or fear. There will always be shortcomings, "not the right time, not the right age," misunderstandings, distractions. To realize your potential, you must stop waiting for the perfect conditions.

3. Practice Gratitude

When I was left with two children on the street, without shelter, without food, without clothes (my husband burned all my things and even the children's things in a fit of alcoholic rage), my life at that time was not a bed of roses. But even in such moments, I looked for what I could be grateful for.

Find what you can be thankful for. I was grateful for my health, for the health of my children. For the job that I was able to find right away. For the fact that I meet many good, kind people on my life path. I started every morning with gratitude, and it changed my mood for the whole day. In the evening before going to bed, I also looked for and thanked for all the good things that happened during the day.

When I first watched the 2006 movie The Secret, based on the book by Rhonda Byrne, I even made myself a gratitude rock. The movie says to find any rock and carry it with you. I keep it in my purse, and every time I see it, I say thank you for everything I have. And my daughter has been giving thanks for everything before bed for several years now.

When I started doing this, a lot really changed for the better. Find a comfortable way for yourself and start being grateful. "There’s always a reason to be grateful."

4. Develop Yourself

I have always loved reading and learning from successful people. I am only interested in things that can make me better. It is so great that you can learn everything from those who have already achieved what you dream of!

Read every day for at least 30 minutes! The more you read, the more your mental abilities develop. My morning always starts with audio or video of successful people. And I also read every day. When a flower stops growing, it begins to rot, and so it is with people. To grow, we need to develop.

Reading for the mind is like exercise for the body. Scientists have proven that reading helps prevent diseases such as Alzheimer's or dementia of the brain. And try to communicate with goal-oriented, successful people. It is not for nothing that the proverb says: "You will learn from whom you hang out."

5. Believe in Yourself

Nobody believed in the success of Walt Disney and Disneyland. When Walter looked for investors, he was rejected 302 times. Even his brother, who always supported him, doubted that the idea would pay off. Disney spent all his money but brought the idea to life. His park opened in 1955, and six months later it was visited by a million people.

Maintain your faith in yourself with books, motivating videos, and audio. I even listen to songs in the morning only with motivating words. I am inspired by the stories of successful people.

Start a success diary! When I first read about this from Bodo Schaefer, I immediately started a diary. Write down everything good that happened during the day. Did someone compliment you, did someone praise you? Write it down. Did you do what you promised yourself? Write it down in your success diary too! All of this will increase your self-esteem and confidence. In difficult moments, when something didn’t work out, I reread the entries.

I remember at my first seminar with Brian Tracy, about 13 years ago, he said that you should always repeat to yourself this phrase: "I never give up! I can do it, I am the best," so that it becomes your belief. 95% of thinking is determined by how you think about yourself.

It is proven that 20% of success comes from skills and abilities, and 80% from how you think. Don't listen to those who don't believe in you. Surround yourself with those who believe in you and raise you.
